In 'One Big Knit,' we capture the essence of life in Historic East Towson. Here, familiarity thrives among neighbors who exchange warm greetings while traversing the neighborhood. Our roots run deep, entwining us in the cherished traditions of our hometown and connecting us to each other. Every aspect of our community is interwoven - from the churches to the community center and the social hall. We form a tight-knit neighborhood of families and long-standing friendships, sharing an intuitive understanding of each other and the pulse of our community.
This is a place steeped in a valuable and enduring tapestry of history, heritage, and culture, rendering it truly unique. Together, by engaging actively, we can safeguard and nurture our distinctive position in history, serving as a conduit to an invigorated future ahead.
The call for volunteers is an invitation to lend
your support to projects, programs and multi-generational events and opportunities to be of service. Bring your unique thread and be part
of Historic East Towson's “One Big Knit!”
This is a great opportunity for local business owners, professionals and the larger business community to participate in our vision for the future. With our shared resources, social and financial capital and media channels, we can go from good-to-great together.
Donations are crucial to continue with the development of the pedestrian & cycling trail from Hampton Plantation to Historic East Towson affectionately known as the Freedom Trail and maintaining our annual youth summer camp. Throughout the year there will be quarterly fundraising events. However donations are accepted year round. Any contribution is appreciated.
This project was funded through the NeighborSpace Portals for Our Partners Program and the United Way of Central Maryland
